Day 13: Multiple Flow Fields – Rivers of Chaos & Counter-Chaos
Today we supercharged our pathing heart with multiple Flow Fields, because one current of doom is so last week. Now there’s a dedicated vector network guiding your minions and a separate one for enemy hordes, so both sides flow toward their grim objectives without tripping over each other’s footprints. It’s like giving each army its own blood-red GPS—no more accidental cross-traffic or glorious misroutes.
But we didn’t stop at splitting the streams. Each Flow Field now eyes multiple targets—buildings, turrets, resource nodes, even the HQ itself—so your units can choke points of maximum agony while enemies swarm repair crews or harvesters. We essentially turned the grid into a tactical buffet of pain: every arrow in the field points to the juiciest kill or the fattest payout.
To keep this from gutting performance, we rolled out event-based updates. Instead of recalculating every tile on some arbitrary timer, we now trigger a Flow Field refresh only when new buildings spawn, old ones crumble, or targets shift. Think of it like ghosting every unnecessary convo—our CPUs thank us for the mercy.
That’s Day 13 locked and loaded. Stay savage, stay strategic.
